The first stories I told, I told as a model. Each picture was the result of a dialogue with the photographer, a co-writing of sorts. The inspirations covered a wide range: untold truths, a psychological notion to illustrate, a philosophical concept to embody, a myth to reenact, a reality to denounce or an idea to defend. I went on to work as an actress, which seemed a logical career evolution, but I quickly went back to writing: it was the telling of stories, not the corporeal interpretation, that nurtured me.
This page features a few of these projects.
Sometimes, the picture was less the result of a dialogue between photographer and model and more like my story, told by a third party, as I would double as an art director. For the following projects, I asked exactly what I wanted from the photographers, who were kind enough to use their technique and expertise to bring exactly the images I had in mind to life.
